The Voice of Faith (Part 2)
Faith has a voice; it can never stay silent. You can locate a person’s faith level by listening to them talk for a few minutes. I want to give you two more characteristics about the voice of faith.
The voice of faith will always have praise to God attached to it. Faith begins where the will of God is known. To truly have faith in God for something, you need to know some things from His Word. Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Faith is a knowing, not a guess or presumption. We don’t have to be ignorant of His will; the Word of God is the will of God! When you find out that all things work together for the good to those that love God and are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28), it doesn’t matter what storms are raging in your life. You can still praise God because you know that He is going to turn your situation around! God is on our side as Christians. He is not out to harm or destroy us. Our Heavenly Father is not a child abuser as some churches and seminaries make Him out to be. In Jeremiah 29:11 God says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” So you don’t have to wonder if God is going to put a disease on you; that is from the devil. Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief (devil and demons) comes to steal, kill, and destroy; I have come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Secondly, the voice of faith will draw out of the wells of salvation by speaking the promises in the Word of God. The Bible tells Christians to draw out of the wells of salvation with joy (Isaiah12:3). The voice of faith is always full of joy. Salvation means more than just living in heaven for eternity when you die. Salvation has been called by some “the all inclusive word.” Salvation implies the blessings of healing, deliverance, soundness, peace, wholeness, preservation, and protection, to name a few. Those blessings are to be taken advantage of here on earth! The provision has been made through Jesus, but it is our responsibility as Christians to take hold of the promises in the Word of God. We are to draw out of the wells of salvation. You can only partake of the blessings or promises of God through faith. God is not a respecter of persons, but He is a respecter of faith! Speaking the Word of God in faith manifests blessings from the spiritual realm into the natural realm (Romans 4:17; Ephesians 1:3). And by the way, James 2:20 says that faith without works is dead. True faith will not only manifest itself in words, but also with actions: obedience to the Word of God. The voice of faith will draw out of the wells of salvation by speaking confidently the promises in the Word of God with joy. Do you want to enjoy the blessings of God and be used by Him on this earth as a Christian? It requires the voice of faith!
