When Heaven Touches Earth
You need to take hold of a truth from the Word of God. God desires to manifest His glorious presence on this earth. He desires to let the fire of His Holy Spirit fall on all flesh (Joel 2:28-32; Acts 2:14-21). The Lord Jesus Christ prayed to His Heavenly Father, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” This should also be the heart cry and prayer of every born again Christian. It is the will of God for heaven to invade this earth. Every city and every nation will be shaken with the Gospel of Jesus Christ before His glorious second coming! Satan and evil spirits can’t do anything to stop it! When a Christian decides to fully trust and obey the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit, it is then that they become an unstoppable vessel and ambassador for the Lord Jesus Christ against the forces of hell. I want to share with you a few points of what happens when heaven, when the power of God, touches and invades the earth.
When heaven touches earth, revelation of who we are and what we have in Christ is quickened in us by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals or uncovers the glorious promises and benefits that belong to us in Christ. Revelation and illumination will always follow an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This in turn gives Christians a fresh boldness and confidence to take hold of the benefits and authority that we have in Christ. This is what will cause the traditions of men and dead religion to not satisfy you anymore. We need to tenderize our spirit man to become sensitive to the Holy Spirit by reading and meditating on the Word of God, praying with our understanding, praying in tongues if you have received the Holy Spirit baptism, and praising and worshipping God in your alone time with Him. You must also get rid of anything in your life that is not pleasing to Him. Anything that would de-throne Jesus Christ as Lord in your life must be removed. This includes bitterness and unforgivness.
When heaven touches earth, prophecy begins to flow. Prophecy is simply defined as inspired utterance from the Holy Spirit. Have you ever been in a service and it feels as if it is aimed right at you? Even though there are many people there, it feels as if God is speaking directly to you. That is prophecy in action. When prophecy or inspired utterance from the Holy Spirit is flowing, those words are birthed and come from heaven, and those very words have the power to change lives for eternity. The Apostle Paul knew that words that originated in human wisdom were weak and powerless to change lives (1 Corinthians 2:4-5). But words that are birthed from heaven and that are spoken on earth; they are carried by the anointing of the Holy Spirit and cut to the heart of man.
When heaven touches earth, there is joy and freedom in the presence of God; the chains of bondage and dead religion begin to fall off. When the presence of God is in a place, there is a freedom and fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11). Another verse says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” (2 Corinthians 3:17) When the manifest presence of God is in a place, you will begin to act like a child; you will begin to dance and shout for joy as He pours His love on you. The walls in your life begin to fall; the resistance is no longer there. You no longer act like the children of Israel and want to stay at the bottom of the mountain because of fear and shame. A boldness and confidence rises up in your spirit to go up the mountain to enjoy the presence of God. Position yourself spiritually now by making Jesus Christ the Lord of every part of your life so you can reap the glorious benefits of heaven touching earth!
