The Grace of God
Today I want to share
with you truths about the grace of God. When a Christian gets revelation and
illumination from the Holy Spirit about this topic, it makes the devil cringe
because he knows that you are truly a threat to him and his evil kingdom on this
earth. The term 'grace' is packed full of the power and the glory of God. The
word 'grace' is defined as unmerited favor or favor you did not and cannot earn:
God's Riches At Christ's Expense. It will change your life if you know how to
tap into it as a Christian.
Jesus tells us in John 14:12 that we will do the works that He did here on earth
and even greater works. That is the grace of God in action; changing an
individual who was once a child of the devil into a born again saint empowered
to be an ambassador for Christ! A Christian does not automatically walk in that
kind of power, but must first know that God will provide the grace to do so. If
you don't know that it is possible to walk in that power, you won't.
We as Christians will tap into the grace of God as we gain knowledge of the
benefits that are promised to us in the Word of God. 2 Peter 1:2 reveals a
Biblical principle for the believer. It says that grace will be multiplied to
you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus, our Lord. This means that the
more knowledge you have of God's Word, more of God's grace and power will be
manifested in your life.
We as Christians must stand strong in the grace of God as a good soldier of
Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:1). There will be times when you don't feel like the
righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and the devil will come along and bring to
your remembrance every sin from your past trying to discourage you from being
all that God wants you to be. That is when you need to stand strong in the grace
of God, lift up the shield of faith, and confess what the Word of God says about
you! Once you get a revelation of the grace of God in your life, the lies of
Satan will no longer be a threat!
We must also grow in grace. We are expected to grow spiritually by taking
advantage of all of the wonderful benefits in God's Word that are extended to us
(Psalms 103:2-5). The goal of Satan and demonic spirits is to keep you from
knowing and enjoying what belongs to you as a Christian. To grow in grace, we
must know what belongs to us. An example of a person growing in grace is Peter.
He denied Jesus three times, and then was forgiven and given a new beginning.
Peter took advantage of this new start with the Lord. The Bible says that he
carried such an anointing upon him that when his shadow passed over the sick,
they were healed! What an awesome impact we will make for the kingdom of God
when we realize the grace and power that is available to us as followers of
Jesus Christ!
