The Sound of Heaven
We as Christians need to release the sound of heaven on earth. Without doing so, we will live a spiritually dry and defeated life. I want to mention a couple of points that will equip us to grow and go higher spiritually. If you take hold of these Biblical truths and put them into practice, they will change your life.
We release the sound of heaven when we verbally speak or confess the Word of God. The Word of God originated in heaven; it is supernatural. When we verbally confess the Word of God, we are coming into agreement with God in heaven. The Bible is very clear that there is power in unity. The word ‘confession’ literally means to agree with. Psalms 119:89 says, “Forever, O Lord, your Word is settled in heaven.” God gave mankind authority, and when we speak God’s Word, we are settling His Word on earth. In a spiritual sense, Christians are connectors of God’s power between heaven and earth. When we release the sound of heaven, God’s holy angels are dispatched into that situation. Psalms 103:20 says, “Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His Word, heeding the voice of His Word.” We as Christians give voice to the Word of God on this earth. It is interesting to note that the Bible calls Satan the prince of the power of the air (Ephesians 2:2). You can understand then why there is such a great spiritual battle to silence Christians. The enemy desires to stop the sound of heaven on earth.
So releasing the sound of heaven means that you are verbally coming into agreement with the very Words of heaven here on earth. We need to release the sound of heaven to release the power of God on earth. Matthew 18:18-20 gives a very important Kingdom principle to us as Christians; something must first be done or spoken on earth before anything is released from heaven. A simple example of this is prayer. There are some blessings that won’t come to pass in your life without you first verbally asking for it. That is why it is so important to pray according to the Word of God, which is the will of God (1 John 5:14-15). This is due to the fact that God has chosen to limit Himself in regards to our free will on earth; God has given authority and dominion to mankind on earth (Genesis 1:26). The Lord Jesus Christ even taught us this truth in the Lord’s Prayer to pray, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
We as Christians release the sound of Heaven when we verbally praise and worship the Lord. The Word of God reveals that heaven is a place that is filled with songs of praise and worship to God. Verbal praise and worship to the Lord will bring the will of God down to earth from heaven. James 4:8 says, “Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.” Your praise and worship to God attracts His manifest presence and glory in your life. Psalms 22:3 says that God is enthroned in or He inhabits the praises of His people. Praise is not silent, it is verbal. According to Psalms 67:5-7, the result of releasing the sound of heaven by praising God is increase, blessing, and the fear of the Lord. When the enemy comes to attack us in our mind, and we begin to verbally praise and worship God, the enemy gets the spiritual operator that says, “I’m sorry, your call cannot be completed.” Our citizenship as a Christian is in heaven. Spiritually speaking, we sit with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:4-7). We need to be more acquainted with spiritual things as Christians; more acquainted with our home country; the Kingdom of God. When we release the sound of heaven with our praise and worship to God, characteristics of the Kingdom, which we are citizens of, are brought down to earth. When we are exalting the Lord Jesus Christ with praise and worship, we are advancing and establishing the Kingdom of God on earth.
Consider this fact; when we release the sound of heaven, we are honoring and blessing God with the very breath that He first breathed into us when He created mankind. I want to encourage you to honor and bless God by releasing the sound of heaven by speaking His Word and praising Him!
